With the advent of the new curriculum, the 3 year VTS is being looked at as a whole - including hospital posts, registrar placements and the HDRC/Day Release Course, plus trainees' private learning. More and more, we are being asked how the course 'maps' onto the curriculum - where do trainees get what?
Of course, they may touch on curriculum goals in more than one format and in more than one scenario.
In mapping the curriculum to our VTS, one area of uncertainty is the Trainer Tutorial. Of course, every trainee has a formal learning needs assessment at the start of the year and further needs arise as an ongoing process. But are there core tutorials that all trainees should get?

as to the "core" tutorials. Should there be some, and what should they
